Support for sole directors of Ltd companies similar to the self-employment aid

What the petition asks
Financial aid to support sole directors of Ltd companies which is similar to the package for the employed and self-employed. The government need to recognise that going furlough isn't an option for sole directors because it means abandoning all business activity.
Out of the 2 million actively trading limited companies in the UK, 891,000 were not employers. Therefore, just under half of the limited companies are one-man-band businesses.
These sole directors do not have access to financial aid, as the self-employed and company employees do.
Sole directors pay millions a year to HMRC on PAYE, corporation tax, VAT, dividend tax and self-assessment. These businesses may fail if the only option is to furlough and abandoned business.
