What the petition asks

There is no financial assistance for Company Directors running small limited companies. They are not eligible for the PAYE scheme, or any other personal support meaning many have no income whatsoever coming into their households. Support is needed to stop companies being closed unnecessarily.

Small Businesses make up a large percentage of the GDP in the UK, however, there is no support for individual directors unless they Furlough their company (close it down) so that they can obtain assistance from the Government. There therefore needs to be provisions made for Directors, so that they are able to seek help personally, in line with the help given to sole traders and other employees. PAYE and Dividends need to be taken into consideration for a support package for Directors.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
