Directors of Small LTD companies who pay themselves with dividends to get 80%.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Include business owners of small limited companies who pay themselves with dividends in the 80% financial support scheme from the government. Many small business owners earn total income from a small salary, and mainly dividends. The current scheme excludes the main part of income from the scheme.
We are the same as self employed, merely accounting for income differently but excluded from support. We pay ourselves mostly with dividends, paying corporate tax on profits, personal tax on salaries, and personal tax on dividends received. The only option for us is to use the furlough scheme, which would only cover us for a fraction of our actual income. Most of the working population is supported with 80% of their monthly income, whereas we are going to be mostly left out. We are left out.
