Give social care workers a pay rise following Coronavirus efforts
Rejected

What the petition asks
Aside from the NHS, social care workers are selflessly putting themselves at risk to care for the most vulnerable to Coronavirus, which also eases the strain on our NHS. Many of these carers are receiving the minimum wage. There efforts need to be recognised with a pay rise
Those with a variety of complex needs rely on carers now more than ever. Without them, there would be even more tragedies and the NHS would become more overwhelmed than it already is. In light of this, I feel their selfless efforts need to be recognised especially as there have already been lives lost amongst social care workers in the care sector during the Coronavirus outbreak.
