Remove the UK 14 day Quarantine rule & replace with COVID19 testing at airports.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We call for the government to remove the economically damaging 14 day Quarantine rule & replace with testing at airports allowing overseas travel to recommence.
An effective testing programme would be a huge step forward and is what the industry needs to survive.
Allowing overseas travel to recommence will prevent tens of thousands of travel professionals losing their jobs. The public have a fundamental right to take a holiday. Infection rates are lower in many tourist destinations than the UK and all necessary safety measures have been put in place to make it safe to travel. Quarantine restrictions have gradually closed down nearly all winter holiday destinations and the travel industry is unable survive without the ability to trade.
