Strengthen current dog breeding laws

What the petition asks
Change the law to make online advertising platforms require dog breeders to be licenced in order to advertise online.
Current breeding laws are completely unenforceable. The sheer volume of illegal dog breeders means the councils have an impossible task. Currently there are 26,000 adverts for dogs on pets4homes, of which 1,500 are from licenced breeders.
This means there are 24,500 adverts from illegally unregulated bred animals available for sale, which each puppy priced well above the £1,000 yearly threshold.
