What the petition asks
To Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Prime Minister Boris Johnson
We the undersigned urge you to reconsider the decision to remove the £20 weekly boost to Universal Credit in April 2021.
We the undersigned urge you to reconsider the decision to remove the £20 weekly boost to Universal Credit in April 2021.
Removing the boost will force more families to make decisions between putting food on the table and paying bills. Too many of our children are already living below the poverty line. Too many of our adults are already suffering from the immense stress that the threat of poverty brings. Cancel the cut to Universal Credit. Keep the lifeline that is keeping so many vulnerable families afloat.
