What the petition asks

With the recent school closures parents are now fitting in teaching & work commitments. Single parents & those that have both members working are struggling to fit this all in.

This is a perfect opportunity to offer part-time furlough to all and reduce the burdens placed on families.

Without further action, many will have no choice but to cut their hours or take unpaid leave from work. This is seriously impacting peoples wellbeing and mental health as it becomes difficult to find the required time to fit in R&R.

Many are calling for this including Martin Lewis and the TUC.
