Many childcare settings and childminders are facing closure due to the guidance set out by the government, either because of a lack of funding or having to close for fear of spread or an actual rise in cases in settings. The effect of this on communities is substantial.Childcare providers and early years offer a safe haven in the community and care for the most precious assets we have, without them we suffer great loss as a country. We should protect them at this time physically and financially.
