Recognise COVID-19 testers as a priority to be vaccinated
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
To recognise the COVID-19 testers as front line workers who deal with suspected covid patients daily and provide them with the vaccine as a priority just as you do with nurses and Drs and other health care professionals.
The COVID-19 test centres (assisted testers such as Boots, Sodexo etc.) are in contact with suspected Covid-19 patients daily and carry out the test on any individual over 12 who may have the symptoms of Covid. These assisted testers are at risk daily from exposure to Covid from all those that they must swab. Even though there is PPE involved, the assisted testers must be close in space to these individuals to perform the test adequately and come into contact with them for this reason.
