What the petition asks

To stop the unlawful health and disability discrimination blanket ban against do not resuscitate on all learning disabilities breaches during covid

I do not consent

This breaches our human rights and disability rights .
We have our own right to have a decision in whether we give consent for do not resuscitate and by you saying your putting a do not rescitate against people with disability’s when catch covid is breaching our human and disability rights act as for myself I do not consent to have a do not consent on my record having a learning disability.

Put a stop to putting on the records without our say

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The NHS has written to all trusts and accountable officers stating that ‘do not attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation’ (DNACPR) orders should only ever be made on an individual basis and in consultation with the individual or their family, and that the key principle is that each person is an individual whose needs and preferences must be taken account of individually: https://www.england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2020/04/maintaining-standards-quality-of-care-pressurised-circumstances-7-april-2020.pdf
