What the petition asks

Create a minimum custodial sentence for first time offenders (The USA currently gives 5 years) Give longer sentences to re-offenders. Scrap suspended sentences for offenders, ensuring all serve time.

Survivors of child abuse have the most horrendous stories which follow them into adulthood. This causes a number of difficulties for many, but still the perpetrators of these heinous crimes more often than not receive short-term to suspended sentences. This has to stop, the punishment must fit the crime. Please sign to show the children we will continue to fight for them.
