Change the way autism in girls is diagnosed

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Autism is a neurodiverse condition. All to often people think Autism or adhd is a child running round fidgeting and very hyper. However that's not the same for girls. Girls with traits of Autism hide how they are feeling . And have the ability to look like they are focusing well in school.
I want to see much earlier interventions in the educational systems to prevent mental health with later diagnosis. Majority of girls don't get diognosed and slip through the net. We need to change the list of signs 9f adhd and autism schools and care providers have. As in girls this is so very different. We need to educate teachers to help them understand even though there are no apparent signs as per this list there is . These are just some.......
Hyper focus on one set thing
Day dreaming
In ability to make friends
Masking others
Melt down when they get home due to holding the stress in all day
