What the petition asks

We want all restrictions at weddings lifted immediately following announcements of Wimbledon and other large events going ahead before July 19th.

We want a lift on all restrictions at weddings. Many guests double vaccinated already. Track amd trace. Lateral flow tests available. Large venues. Business going bust. No certainty with weather. Large scale.events are being confirmed. "I can hug anyone I want but I can't dance with my dad".

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for a similar action: Allow weddings without restrictions if guest are vaccinated or test negative

If you want the Government to lift all restrictions on weddings, irrespective of whether guests have been vaccinated or tested negative, we could accept a petition requesting this, but it would need to be clear that is what you want to happen.
