Increase mental health funding to provide better treatment for recovery !

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Increase mental health funding in all areas to help provide appropriate support & treatment including reduced waiting time to decrease numbers of those hospitalised / in crisis.

Increase funding in specialist services such as CAMHS, ED, BPD to access supportive suitable talking therapies quicker.
Mental Health system receives only 5.5% of the health budget. 1/4 people in the UK experience a mental health problem with suicide being the biggest killer of men under 45, yet there’s still so little budgeting put aside.

This year there were 50,893 new detentions under the mental health act & 18.3 % 18-34 had been detained more then once. By offering advanced supportive input into community teams & better therapy access it will help reduce hospitalisation & support people in their recovery.
