What the petition asks
It should be a requirement of government, that ALL persons use only software that is fully recoverable and available for any and all future investigations that may require the data to ensure full & lawful actions were taken on government business.
This information should be sovereign.
This information should be sovereign.
There have been multiple cases of government ministers losing data or IT "glitches" stored on private email and/or foreign messaging software.
Aside from prevention of investigation into possible corruption, this also engenders mistrust in government by the people.
All data on government business and taxpayer spend should be known to be available & made ONLY on non private systems.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the loss of certain government data, but we're not sure exactly what you mean by "software that is fully recoverable and available."
