Petition · past parliament
I call on the UK Parliament to set limits on pet insurance premiums.

What the petition asks
I want Parliament to investigate pet insurers and consider setting limits on annual premiums.
In the last 2 years pet owners have seen premiums increase by up to 70% annual regardless of claim history. This sector is worth 1.1 Billion.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about the cost of insurance products are a matter for indiviudal insurance providers, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
