Require commercial motorcycle or scooter riders to have a full licence.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Currently riders can drive a small 2 wheeled vehicle after completing a one day Compulsory Basic Training course and undertake commercial work on it, including deliveries.
This can be repeated every two years. We ask that commercial riders require a full licence with proper training.
The ownership of powered two wheelers in cities is increasing quickly, and there is evidence that many commercial riders are causing fear and alarm, accidents, damage and speeding as a result of insufficient training. No other commercial driver is allowed to drive on a one day test or L plates.
