The United Kingdom should hold a referendum on abolishing the Monarchy.

What the petition asks
Hold a national referendum on abolishing the Monarchy.
The hereditary public office goes against every democratic principle, not to mention the abuse of power from senior royals historically, and the public funding to bail them out. The monarch is out of touch and out of date, and it should be down to the public to vote on who our leaders are, not bloodline.
