Hamster cage requirements to be a minimum of 100cmx50cm (LxW)

What the petition asks
I am an animal lover and it breaks my heart to see that hamsters are the most neglected rodent in the pet industry, there is a lot of evidence showing that they need a lot more care than we think they do, there is also a lot of incorrect information about hamster husbandry.
I would like a minimum for a hamsters enclosure to raise to 100cmx50cm which has been scientifically proven to be the minimum, under the animal welfare act 2006 it is the owners responsibility to provide an adequate living space…small cages aren’t adequate which is why I would like to raise the minimum to 100cmx50cm and make it illegal for cages under this to be sold as it is animal cruelty.
