Bring down our national carbon footprint from 9.5 tonnes CO2e to 8 tonnes CO2e

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

According to the WWF on average (2022) the uk population emits 9.5 tonnes of CO2 per person. The parliament needs to implement measures to reduce emissions by 1.5 tonnes per person per year. This will support our home.
Our carbon footprint is contributing to the devastation of the planet our home. And according to WWF Manchester City centre emits ~11 tonnes per person each year (2022).
If we work as a collective we can help even if it’s just by 1.5 tonnes per person per year.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the UK's carbon footprint, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to bring this down.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
