Make all dog walking and pet sitting (all animals) in other's property regulated

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Anybody paid to look after other people's animals, need to be licensed and regulated.
With Pet first aid and relevant insurance as a minimum.
It should be compulsory for anybody advertising to display their details and share with customer at booking.
A full monitored complaint procedure.
With the significant rise in dogs in the UK people are seeing dog walking and sitting as a quick way to earn big money, without being regulated.
There have been a number of issues both minor and major, including death of the animal, due to neglectful care.
All day care, boarders and kennels require a license, but there is a loophole for those who work in others properties and they do not require a license.
The UK is a big dog loving nation and we need to stand together to protect our animals.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for a very similar action: Extend Animal Activities Licensing regulations to cover all animal businesses
