What the petition asks
Parliament need to approve and effect the abolition of the Public Duties Cost Allowance
The PDCA should be abolished as ex PM’s have sufficient wealth or income earning capability to fund whatever they need after leaving office as PM. These payments are privilege payments which should not be allowed or, to be an automatic entitlement. If an ex PM falls on hard times then maybe they could apply to one of the hardship funds that taxpayers have to apply for and, be means tested. A PM who leaves Office before the end of the full term of Office should not be supported in any way.
