For carbohydrate information to be provided on all foods
Rejected

What the petition asks
Many food establishments (bakeries, cafes, restaurants, supermarket bakeries) do not have carbohydrate values available for their foods/meals. This information is really important for people with type one diabetes for calculating insulin doses.
As a mother of a five year old child that lives with type one diabetes I find it frustrating that carbohydrate information isn’t available in the same way that for example calories and allergens are. Type one diabetics are dependent on insulin and have to count the carbohydrates in their foods to then safely give themselves the correct amount of insulin for that meal.
