Force cyclists to have insurance for road use
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Make cyclists accountable on roads, basic insurance cover like all other road users, I was recently involved in an accident at the cyclists fault and the police said its like hitting an uninsured driver, nothing anyone can do!
Cyclists should be accountable for there actions on uk roads, if they cause injury or death they should have insurance to cover there actions on public roads. Cyclists already have cover under the motor insurance bureau where as motor users do not, my recent accident crippled me temporarily, causing sustained injury and time off work at my expense because he was uninsured
