What the petition asks
Retailers and service providers with online presence in UK should provide a simple way to cancel subscriptions online without having to use any other means.
Just as businesses enable users to easily subscribe to services and products online, they should also make it easy to unsubscribe online.
Just as businesses enable users to easily subscribe to services and products online, they should also make it easy to unsubscribe online.
Even if they may want to offer a deal, user should not be forced go through a number of steps to cancel. There should always be an option to opt out quickly.
Lack of this is a delay tactic to get user to delay or even forget about cancelling. One has to call a number which may have a significant wait and may not be free to call. Also, the user can be cajoled into continuing the service even when he does not need it. It is not easy to say no to a person
