What the petition asks

Make it illegal for businesses in the U.K to refuse Cash as payment.
The freedom of choice has been taken away by businesses who have suddenly decided to refuse Cash. When the Card Machine Payment System breaks down or the Wi-fi stops working, there will be no other ways to pay and it is the UK Public and smaller businesses who will suffer.

The UK Public named in this petition would like the Government to make it illegal for businesses in the U.K to refuse Cash as payment.
