What the petition asks

Vet bills are up by more than 60% between 2015 and 2023, risen by another 5-10% since then. Minimum cost for a vet visit is usually £300. Only the very wealthy can afford to take their pets to the vets. We need affordable vet care for all animals in every household, no matter their income.
•More and more animals going into rescues •Rescues are unable to accommodate the rise
•local vet’s in the last 3 years from £28 to £65. For app.

•scan was £300 during surgery hours, is now £1000.

•more animals are being put to sleep
•owners avoiding going
•vaccinations down, spread of diseases
•Dogs and cats are not being neutered, more unwanted pups, kittens

•we are being taken advantage of.
•many companies who own Vets, seeing animals as a commodity
•we just want to care of our pets

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could outline what measures you would like to be taken in relation to the affordability of veterinary care.
