Petition
Give out cheaper monthly train passes to encourage public transport use
Rejected
9 signatures
What the petition asks
The government could introduce an affordable monthly train pass (ranging from £10-20) for all UK residents to encourage the use of public transport
The air pollution in London is a very large public health issue, shortening the lives of Londoners and leading to 9400 extra deaths per year. The excessive burning of fossil fuels also contributes to the effects of climate change. Therefore, promoting the use of public transport benefits the environment as well as also making transport more accessible and cheaper.
