What the petition asks

We want the Government to introduce a national prostate cancer screening programme for all men in the UK, similar to NHS breast and cervical screening programmes .
We also want improved early diagnostic pathways, better access to testing for men with symptoms or risk factors, and national awareness

This petition is inspired by my father’s experience. He first reported symptoms to the GP at the age of 66 ,but was not investigated until he was 68 ,he was then diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer by which time the disease had spread to his spine. Watching a loved one face advanced cancer has shown me the devastating impact prostate cancer has not only on patients but on entire families. I believe more must be done to promote earlier detection and improve outcomes for all men.

Why it was rejected
