Tourism in Lanarkshire

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes co-operation between the tourist accommodation sector and visitor attractions in Lanarkshire; understands that tourism contributes approximately £5 billion to the Scottish economy; notes that four of the top five tourist attractions in the Glasgow and the Clyde Valley area are located in Lanarkshire; believes that Lanarkshire has great potential as a destination for domestic and foreign tourists, and wishes the tourism sector there every success in developing the region as an attractive and popular destination.
