Greenock Emigration Museum

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the positive impact made throughout the world by the more than two million Scots who have emigrated from this country; notes with interest the proposals for a Scottish Emigration Museum based in Greenock to celebrate those who have left to begin new lives in the rest of the world; acknowledges the potential financial benefits such a visitor attraction would have for Greenock and the surrounding area, and calls on Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board to work with all interested parties to consider this proposal.
