Arctic Convoy Medal
The motion
That the Parliament commends the bravery of the men who served on the Russian convoys during the Second World War in appalling conditions and in great danger from both enemy action and the extremely hostile environment; remembers that next year is the sixtieth anniversary of Dervish, the first of these convoys, and asks Her Majesty's Government to invite the committee on the grant of honours, decorations and medals to reconsider its policy and issue a medal to recognise the very significant role these brave men played in the defeat of fascism.
