Dangerous Driving and the Law

As an amendment to motion S1M-02756 in the name of Cathie Craigie (Dangerous Driving and the Law), , leave out from "which examines" to end and insert "congratulates the officers of all eight Scottish Police Forces for their continued efforts to improve road safety; expresses gratitude for their professionalism and dedication in dealing with the very difficult situation of deaths associated with road traffic accidents, and considers that the Executive should accept its responsibilities in this area, address the limited resources it makes available to Police Forces which hinder them in the successful application of their duties and set up a consultative committee consisting of the Police Federation, the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Crown Office to identify how the recommendations of the report might be taken forward.
