Scottish Borders Council Leadership
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes changes in the leadership of Scottish Borders Council, which will offer the council an opportunity for a fresh start; notes with concern the Council’s continuing budgetary difficulties and threatened cuts in services, and believes that Ministers should meet representatives of the council with a view to maintaining services, with particular regard to education, voluntary services and key community facilities.
