Slow Food UK
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Slow Food UK which was formally founded on 27 August 2005 at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Skye; congratulates the members of the Highland and Moray Slow Food convivium who brought this prestigious event to Skye; approves the principles of the Slow Food movement, that food must be produced in a way that is environmentally responsible and socially just and, above all, that it must be good to eat; recognises the role that the Slow Food movement has, at home and worldwide, in countering the industrialisation of our food supply and loss of local food culture, and wishes Slow Food UK well for the future.
