The Scottish Executive providesfunding, through health boards, to alcohol and drug action teams (ADATs) to tackledrug misuse. It is up to ADATs to decide how to allocate resources according tolocal needs and priorities. The total cost of theanti-heroin advertising campaign in 2006-07 to date has been £283,365 (includingVAT). The cost covers research, production and advertising fees. This figurealso includes £90,000 which is the total cost of creative work for all drugscampaigns carried out in 2006-07 by the Executive, including the anti-cocaine,anti-heroin, parents’ campaign and some general Know the Score work.</p>

This campaign is part of the wider Know the Score information campaign ofwhich the total cost for 2006-07 to date has been £1.3 million. This figure includes£90,000 which is the total cost of creative work for all drugs campaignscarried out in 2006-07 by the Executive, including the anti-cocaine, anti-heroin,parents’ campaign and some general Know the Score work.</p>
