As an amendment to motion S2M-04794 in the name of Jim Mather (Congratulations to Standard Life), insert at end “but notes that on 31 March 2004 Alex Salmond MP described the demutualisation of Standard Life, without which it could not have joined the FTSE 100, as “a sad, bad day for the Scottish financial sector”, and calls on the SNP to state whether this remains the official view of the party.”
