World Cross Country Championships

That the Parliament congratulates Scotland on winning the bid to host the International Association of Athletics Federations’ (IAAF) World Cross Country Championships in 2008, which will be staged at Holyrood Park, Edinburgh and aim not only to emulate the success of the European cross country event hosted at the same venue in 2003 but also to reaffirm Scotland’s ability to host world events in the build-up to Glasgow's bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
