Heather Badges for St Andrew's Day from SBO Enterprises at Torry Academy, Aberdeen

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of SBO Enterprises at Torry Academy in Aberdeen on their production of heather badges to celebrate St Andrew’s Day; applauds the entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by pupils of the school’s Support Base One, who have often needed extra support in school but who have enthusiastically embraced a whole new range of skills in order to bring their enterprise project to fruition; commends the group for creating and producing such a unique and attractive emblem, both to celebrate St Andrew’s Day and to raise funds for Children 1st; believes that this entrepreneurial challenge will not only boost the confidence and self-esteem of the pupils involved but will also raise their awareness of the opportunities that exist for making a successful career in business in Scotland; congratulates the group on its successful sales and its marketing drive which has now reached the Parliament, and urges fellow MSPs to buy their own heather badge from SBO Enterprises and to wear it with pride on St Andrew’s Day.
