Congratulating the Scottish-Islamic Foundation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish-Islamic Foundation on its launch on 26 June 2008; believes in its message that being a practising Muslim equates to being an active citizen; further believes that social cohesion is best fostered by positive dialogue between communities; supports its call for further investment to help empower Muslim youth in Scotland; wishes it every success in future projects, and endeavours to work with it to achieve its aim of bridging the gap between the Muslim and non-Muslim community on a local, national and international level.
