Congratulations to St Paul the Apostle Church, Shettleston
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Paul the Apostle Church, in Glasgow Shettleston and the entire parish family involved in the organisation of the church’s golden jubilee celebrations, which took place on Sunday 12 July 2009 in the presence of His Grace, Archbishop Mario Conti; commends the continuing accomplishment of Catholic and Christian education, providing opportunity and progress for many young people in the east end; recognises that St Paul the Apostle Church was established 150 years ago and entrusts the present clergy, such as Father John Campbell, to continue the excellent work of the church in serving the local community, and praises the parish for the work that all parishioners do for the benefit of the east end of Glasgow.
