Congratulations to Fundraisers for the Have a Heart Campaign in Bo’ness, Linlithgow and South Queensferry

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates residents of Bo’ness, Linlithgow and South Queensferry on raising a total of £12,000 for the Bo’ness Journal and Gazette Have a Heart campaign, which has provided essential medical equipment, such as defibrillator machines, backpacks, resuscitation dummies and training machines, for first responder volunteers who will be trained and supported by the Scottish Ambulance Service and the British Heart Foundation, will be capable of providing reassurance and assistance to members of the public in these three towns in the case of cardiac emergencies and, crucially, be able to administer life-saving resuscitation techniques; further congratulates the Scottish Ambulance Service and the British Heart Foundation for supporting this innovative way of narrowing the vital response time in cardiac emergencies, and acknowledges the worthy contribution and commitment of the first responder volunteers.
