Congratulations to Motherwell and Wishaw Citizens Advice Bureau
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Motherwell and Wishaw Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) on holding its 40th AGM on 30 June 2010; considers that the CAB has had many achievements and innovations, including the ReachOut Youth Project, which involved 1,800 students attending CAB workshops in the last year aimed at improving their financial literacy and financial management skills, and the Polish Project, which promotes social cohesion, integration and understanding among the Polish community; appreciates the role that the CAB volunteers have had in helping individuals and families manage in challenging circumstances with legal and money advice; values what it believes to be the vital services that the Motherwell and Wishaw CAB provides to the local community, and considers that Citizens Advice Bureaux have an important role across Scotland.
