Congratulations to Greener Kirkcaldy

That the Parliament congratulates Greener Kirkcaldy on its contribution to the health and wellbeing of people in Kirkcaldy and the surrounding areas; commends the environmental community group for providing local people with access to advice and information on home insulation and energy saving and for offering assistance to people applying for grants and discounts for insulation work to their homes during the recent severe weather; is encouraged that many older people have approached the group for assistance and have received insulation works free of charge; believes that the project is helping to keep a lot of people safe and warm throughout the current cold spell; understands that the environmental community group is funded by the Climate Challenge Fund until March 2011, and urges the Scottish Government to continue to fund what it considers this important frontline service for the people of Kirkcaldy and the surrounding areas.
