The Reintroduction of Usury in Scots Justice
The motion
That the Parliament notes the comments of MSPs about inordinately high profit levels being achieved through interest rates on loans by some lending companies and calls on the Scottish Government to instigate as a matter of urgency an investigation into the status of these companies and to investigate the possibility of reintroducing the crime of usury in Scotland.
