Disrepair across Scotland’s Traditional Housing Stock
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the current disrepair across Scotland’s traditional housing stock, including in Angus North and Mearns; understands that 92% of traditionally constructed dwellings have some form of disrepair and more than one in four of pre-1919 dwellings need extensive repairs; notes that the Scottish Government’s traditional building health check pilot scheme is underway to address the poor state of Scotland’s housing stock, and considers that quality repairs will also tend to reduce fuel poverty.
