The UK Oil and Gas Industry Safety Awards 2014

That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the UK Oil and Gas Industry Safety Awards 2014 on 30 April 2014; notes that the event recognises safety leadership and honours both the top safety representatives and up-and-coming professionals; emphasises that the event, organised by Oil & Gas UK and Step Change in Safety, rewards recipients who embody the spirit of safety and innovation across the UK oil and gas industry; highlights specifically the Services to Safety Award, awarded posthumously this year to Steve Walton, who, it considers, demonstrated unwavering support for safety measures during his 20 years as a safety representative, and reinforces that the awards celebrate the work of individuals and organisations that tirelessly strive to make the UK oil and gas industry a safer place.
