Voluntary Action Scotland, Collaborating for Community Impact
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the publication of a new report from Voluntary Action Scotland, Collaborating for Community Impact; understands that the report highlights the impact that third sector interfaces across Scotland, including East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action, have had in supporting the third sector in their areas; believes that, in 2014-15, these interfaces supported over 11,800 organisations, supported over 8,600 people into volunteering and awarded 24,000 Saltire certificates, which recognise youth volunteering; believes that the interfaces play a crucial role in supporting communities and the third sector across localities, and welcomes what it sees as the Scottish Government’s continued support for third sector interfaces and Voluntary Action Scotland.
