Living Wage Week
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Living Wage Foundation on what it understands is the biggest ever Living Wage Week; understands that the foundation has raised the living wage to £8.25 per hour in the UK in general and £9.40 in London; believes that a fair living wage is necessary to lift people out of poverty; is concerned that roughly 19% of the Scottish workforce is not currently paid the living wage, and looks forward to the day when everyone is paid at least a living wage.
